We don’t know about you, but between the final push of tax season and the whirlwind of approaching the end of another school year, life feels a bit like a sprint lately.
When things get this hectic, we find ourselves daydreaming about summer vacation – specifically, that moment when the bags are checked and the seatbelts click once everyone finds their seat on the plane.
For several years now, each of our families has found a way to integrate those travel dreams into our respective visions of a life by design. Julie spent a year traveling the world with her family while homeschooling her kids. And Annie has done multiple home exchanges, both domestically and internationally.
Speaking of which, home exchanges is a topic people often ask us about. Annie and her family have had terrific experiences exchanging homes all around the world, and this summer, they’re doing two exchanges: one on the coast of Denmark and another in Amsterdam.
